L’ÉTAPE RIO BY TOUR DE FRANCE

4rd EDITION

L’Étape Rio by Tour de France is a surprising event that delights everyone who challenges themselves amidst the beauties of the city.

From June 28th to 30th, 2024, we will be together experiencing another stage of this beautiful celebration of Brazilian cycling.

 

THE EVENT

This is another amateur cycling event in the L’ÉTAPE BRASIL by TOUR DE FRANCE series, whose objective is to bring participants closer to the experience of the biggest cycling competition in the world, the TOUR DE FRANCE.

L’ÉTAPE RIO by TOUR DE FRANCE will take place in the city of Rio de Janeiro - RJ, on Sunday, June 30, 2024, with a start at 6 am for both long and short routes.

In this fourth edition, we will continue to provide the highest level of sports entertainment for cyclists, their families and fans. We also aim to increasingly involve the population of the host cities, bringing financial returns not only on event days, but also by stimulating tourism.

 

The test KIT will consist of:

1 cycling jersey
3 timing chips:

1 front bicycle number;

1 seatpost number;

1 helmet number.

Athlete KIT withdrawal:

The kit must be picked up at the L’ÉTAPE RIO Village, which will be located in the events pavilion at Marina da Glória, Av. Infante Dom Henrique, S/N - Glória, Rio de Janeiro - RJ, 20021-140.


Pick-up days:

June 28, 2024 (Friday) from 12:00 to 20:00 and June 29, 2024 (Saturday) from 9:00 to 20:00.

DISCOVER L'ÉTAPE SERIES
Ride safely on roads that are 100% closed to cars and motor vehicles
There will be 107 km of a new route with incredible views and reserved exclusively for cycling.
In a route designed and developed by
Tour de France experts.
High level of security and assistance
Athletes will have mobile and fixed mechanical support and medical assistance and hydration points scattered throughout the course.
The event is timed by a modern counting system using an electronic chip.
During the course there will be points for reading the chips to certify the passage for the entire length of the race and to determine the time performed by each participating athlete.
King and Queen of the Mountain Challenge
Gates demarcate the beginning and end of the segment, where only the best times win.
